Rough Diamond Project Tempranillo 2017
The wine has a bright, youthful and intense red colour. The nose is redolent of crushed dark berries, the flavours of black cherry and cassis mingle on the palate where youthful and firm tannins, backed by spicy oak show that the wine will age very well for a number of years.
This wine will be the ideal accompaniment to hearty stews, venison and cheese platters.
|Cellar||Grapes were handpicked, sorted, then destemmed and crushed into a 2 ton open fermenter. The must was pumped over twice daily and the wine was left on skins for 10 days before pressing off to barrels for malolactic fermentation. Maturation took place for 18 months in 2nd fill French oak before fining and bottling.|
